As part of the programme of the Department of Safety, Coexistence, Culture and Ecological Transition, the Centro Sociocultural Norte-Universidad is hosting, from 2 March to 30 April, the exhibition “NO HAY PLAN B”, by Sara F. Jorslov.

Sara Fernández Jorslov (Palma de Mallorca, 1978) is graduated in Interior Design and Photography, and trained in oil, acrylic and watercolor painting disciplines. She is currently a plastic artist who has been selected in many national art competitions and has been part of group exhibitions and some solo shows, as well.

On a conceptual level, he bears witness and testimony to this present historical stage that we are all suffering first-hand: the climate emergency. The subjects he works on are abstract or semi-abstract aerial views of landscapes that represent the impact of this crisis on our natural environment.

Sus obras hablan sobre la fractura y la merma acelerada de las masas de hielo polar. Hablan de la desertificación del territorio. De la magnitud desproporcionada de lluvias y sequías. De los incendios y de la deforestación masiva de selvas y bosques. Hablan de las altas temperaturas en alza, que, en algunos lugares del planeta, ponen a prueba el umbral de la supervivencia humana.

“THERE IS NO PLAN B” is her way to give awareness to the viewer, making a call for an individual and collective effort to care and preserve our planet for the future generations
